Be it the ghats of Ganga or the sand across the Ganga, the twinkling lamps on both sides were outshining the night of Amavasya.
On Deepawali, Deep decoration and Sanatan classical innovation took place in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Mahadev himself has created light from light in the universe in the form of Jyotirlinga as a pillar of light. It is mentioned in Shivpuran. In such a situation, the ritual of Jyoti festival is organized in Jyotirlinga Dham according to the scriptures.
In the sequence of this Sanatan thought, Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple administration organized classical worship with special decoration. For the first time in the festival, the Chief Executive Officer performed Puja with his family. Mahalakshmi and Ganpati were worshipped in the temple of Shri Satyanarayan Bhagwan in the temple premises. Wishes were made for the happiness of Sanatan society, nation and world. On Deepawali, after Shodashopachar worship of Lord Vishwanath, Maa Annapurna was worshipped. After this, Prasad was distributed.
The city lit up with the light of colourful fringes
Last evening, on the great festival of lights, from the city to the village, everything lit up. Somewhere there was the light of colourful fringes and somewhere there were flickering earthen lamps. The joy of the festival started spreading all around. Preparations for the arrival of Mahalaxmi were going on since afternoon. The garlands decorated on the doors of the houses were decorated for the arrival of the mother.
As soon as the sun set, lamps started being decorated from home to temples. The bright rangoli of imaginations of the mind with rainbow colours also got decorated with diyas. After worshiping in the houses, the devotees turned towards the temples. First of all, lamps were lit in the temples of the locality and after that the devotees proceeded towards the temples of the city including Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Annapurna Temple. Establishments, institutions and houses were bathed in the light of colourful lights.
Fireworks continued till late night
After the worship of Lord Ganesha and Lakshmi, the round of fireworks began. The entire sky was bathed in the colourful light of firecrackers. Children lit colourful sparklers and elders also lit rockets, bullet bombs and sky-light crackers.
More than 35 thousand passengers reached Babatpur Airport in 7 days
The crowd of Deepawali and Chhath Puja has also increased at Babatpur Airport. The number of passengers in the flights coming from the metros is more, while the number of those going is less. In the last seven days, more than 35 thousand passengers have arrived at the airport alone. At the same time, 15 to 16 thousand passengers departed from the airport. The number of flights has also increased by 10 percent. On Thursday, 80 flights reached the airport.
Earlier, 60 to 65 flights used to operate every week. Till last night, the flights were flying at full capacity. Airport officials said that the number of passengers in flights coming from metros is high till Chhath Puja. There will be a rush of people going from here after Chhath Puja. The number of passengers coming from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore is high. Ticket fare has also become somewhat normal now.
For the first time in 15 years, not a single new license was made for any firecracker
This year, not a single new license was made in the Commissionerate for fireworks. Fireworks sellers said that only renewal was done. Some traders were running around for new licenses since a month ago, but the Commissionerate Police did not give them permission. Therefore, firecrackers continued to be sold without license in some areas. Firecrackers continued to be sold illegally in Cantt of Varuna Zone, Ardli Bazar of Lalpur-Pandeypur police station area, Pandeypur New Basti, Sarnath and on the Ring Road. Police also got the information about the sale of crackers secretly in Dalmandi and Hardha Sarai areas.
Minimum temperature fell by 1.7 degree Celsius in 24 hours
After the heat, the weather changed due to strong sunlight during the day for two days. Humid winds kept blowing since morning. Due to this, the effect of sunlight was less. However, the chill was more at night as compared to other days. Here, the minimum temperature also recorded a drop of 1.7 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours. According to the meteorologist, there are chances of cold increasing from next week. There has been rapid fluctuation in the weather for the last one week.
At the beginning of the week, due to cyclonic storm Dana, there was light drizzle and the temperature also decreased to less than 30 degree Celsius. For the last two days, the weather remained a little warm at night along with strong sunlight during the day. Due to this, the maximum temperature had crossed 34 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature had crossed 22 degree Celsius. The weather changed due to the blowing of moist winds on Thursday. Even in the evening, the chill was more.
Its effect was also seen on the temperature. On Thursday, the maximum temperature was 34.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.0 degrees Celsius. Prof. Manoj Srivastava, meteorologist of BHU, said that from next week, the weather will change again. There are chances of a decrease in the maximum and minimum temperatures as well.
Roads will be sparkling before Chhath Puja and Dev Deepawali
All roads will be sparkling before Chhath Puja and Dev Deepawali. Keeping this in mind, the PWD and Municipal Corporation have taken up the task of repairing the bad roads of the city. All the roads leading to the Ganga Ghat will be repaired by November 6. Apart from this, the Ganga Ghats, Kunds and other roads will be repaired by November 13.
The survey work has been completed for this. The work of repairing a total of 39 km of roads will be completed.
Special arrangements will be made on Chhath Puja
Three km of roads will be repaired in one day. There is a crowd at Ganga Ghats and Kunds on Chhath Puja. The Municipal Corporation has made full preparations for this. Apart from cleaning, repair work of roads and streets is being done. Due to Diwali holiday, the repair work will be completed again after two days. The Municipal Corporation will get 24 km of roads repaired.
Instructions were given in the meeting
The work of resetting the chowka in the streets is being done so that the devotees do not face any kind of trouble. Similarly, the work of repairing 15 km of roads will be completed by the PWD. Many roads have been repaired before Diwali. After Diwali holiday, the roads will be repaired on war footing. For this, a survey has been done before the regional JE.
PWD Executive Engineer KK Singh said that pebbles have been put on most of the roads. The roads will be leveled by painting them with tar. We are working with a target of 10 November. The remaining work will be completed by the 13th.
